Waikiki nightclub fracas nets two Hawaii players arrest, suspension

Don’t know about you, but what better way to start Game Week 2011 -- and, yes, games will be played despite all of the off-field tumult -- than with yet another story on players on the wrong side of the law? Wait, what?

Anyway, KITV.com is reporting that Hawaii linebacker Aaron Brown and wide receiver Darius Bright were arrested early Sunday morning following an incident at a Waikiki nightclub. The pair was charged with one count each of misdemeanor assault.

No details of what led to the arrest and charges have been released.

The television station reports that both players have been indefinitely suspended, and could miss the season opener pending a school investigation into the incident.

Brown started 10 games as a junior in 2010, and was penciled in as a starter in 2011. Wright was a redshirt last year after transferring to Hawaii following two years at City College of San Francisco.
