Mississippi State to be down five players against Memphis

Dan Mullen

Mississippi State hasn’t played a down of football yet and already Dan Mullen‘s team is off to a bad start.

The school has announced that five players have been suspended for the Bulldogs’ opener against Memphis for violating team rules.

They are: starting DT Fletcher Cox, freshman LT Blaine Clausell (listed as a co-starter at left tackle), backup QB Dylan Favre (yes, he’s Brett Favre’s nephew; no, we don’t know if pictures of his unmentionables were involved) , reserve linebacker Chris Hughes and reserve receiver Malcolm Johnson.

All five are expected to return for the Sept. 10 game against Auburn.

MSU is coming off a 9-4 season a year ago with a victory of Michigan in the Gator Bowl.

hey kercheval….talk about discipling football players. as a writer, YOU should be disciplined for making that comment about Dylan Favre. that’s pretty close to libel. i would retract that comment immediately.

how old are you anyways? i’d think about another career if i were you. you’re nothing but a hack.

Speaking of unmentionables, I suggest unbunching yours and lighten up.

you suggest? really? “lighten up”. OK – i was gonna give you the benefit of the doubt, but it seems you really are a hack and have no journalistic integrity.

i’m contacting NBC Sports and filing a formal complaint. chalk it up to “life’s lessons, Ben”.

It seemed a pretty harmless joke aimed at Brett Favre to me…

unfortunately, DYLAN Favre is not BRETT Favre. it’s unfair to the younger QB and is slanderous. i’ve already emailed NBC Sports and filed a formal complaint to get this hack blogger’s post either edited or removed. legal action will ensue if warranted.

Hey “belair”, let me help you out here. NBC Sports doesn’t give a sh*t what you think, or complain about. Ben’s article generate enough hits and comment posts, which translates to advertising revenue, that one complaint, regardless of who you think you are, doesn’t mean a thing to them… or Ben. Let us all know how that “formal” complaint thing goes. I can help you here too actually. It’ll “formally” find the round file (read: trash bin) almost before you take your finger off the ‘Submit’ key. Take a pill, dude.

Ben, keep up the good work. Don’t let one idiot ruin your day.

Oh yeah, 59-14 Mississippi State. Guess they didn’t miss the missing.

Florida727. shush. you don’t exist to me. and NBC Sports better care what a blogger says (using the NBC platform) cause it’s libelous.

    no integrity. idiots.
