Leading receiver one of two starting Hogs out this weekend

Then again, it’s “just” Troy, so does it really matter?

Regardless, Arkansas will be down a starter from each side of the ball in their final tune-up before their huge SEC West showdown with Alabama next weekend.

Head coach Bobby Petrino announced Thursday that wide receiver Jarius Wright and defensive end Jake Bequette will miss Saturday’s game against the Sun Belt Conference school due to injury.

Wright suffered a knee injury and Bequette a hamstring tweak in the first half of last weekend’s shellacking New Mexico.

“They have made significant improvement on a daily basis,” Petrino said, “so we’re hopeful for maybe getting them back next week.”

We’re just guessing here, but, if it was the Tide on the schedule this weekend instead of Troy, both players would be feeling a helluva lot healthier; Wright leads the Razorbacks in receptions (11), receiving yards (171) and receiving touchdowns (three), while Bequette was named first-team All-SEC by the coaches during the preseason.
