John Brantley out for Florida

A 24-10 halftime deficit was already pretty bad for Florida. After going up 7-0 early when Gators quarterback John Brantley connected with Andre Dubose for a 65-yard touchdown, Florida’s offense hasn’t done much of anything.

Unfortunately for UF going forward, half of that touchdown team appears done for the night.

Just before halftime, Brantley was sacked on back-to-back plays and was tackled awkwardly on the latter sack. He was helped off the field with what looked like an ankle or knee injury.

In either case, true freshman Jeff Driskel has come in for the Gators to start the second half, and it’s unclear when, if at all, we’ll see Brantley return tonight.
