Leading receiver out for UGA this weekend

The bad news for Georgia is they’ll be without their leading receiver for this weekend’s game.

The good news? This weekend’s game is against Vanderbilt (no offense ‘Dores).

As expected, it was confirmed Sunday that wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell will not play this weekend against Vandy due to injury. Mitchell tweaked his hamstring in the win over Tennessee Saturday.

Head coach Mark Richt said he’s hopeful Mitchell will return for the Oct. 29 game against Florida. UGA will have their bye weekend ahead of that huge SEC East matchup, which should give Mitchell’s hamstring enough time to fully heal.

Mitchell’s 25 receptions and 438 yards leads the Bulldogs, while his three receiving touchdowns are tied for second.
