‘Noles to get their Scooter back this week

When Jarred “Scooter” Haggins went out with a broken hand in Florida State’s Sept. 17 loss to Oklahoma, it was expected the wide receiver would miss at least four weeks and as many as six.

Four weeks to the day of the injury, Haggins will be back on the playing field.

Following practice Tuesday, head coach Jimbo Fisher confirmed that Haggins has fully recovered from surgery performed on the fracture and will play against Duke this Saturday. Haggins has received clearance from FSU’s medical staff and is practicing with his teammates in advance of the conference game.

“It’s good to get him back in there,” Fisher said. “When you have a strong mind, good things happen to you.”

At the time of his injury, Haggins was second on the Seminoles with 11 receptions.
