Western Kentucky suspends RB for fan remarks on Twitter

Didn’t you know? Only Dana Holgorsen is allowed to criticize fans.

Western Kentucky running back Antonio Andrews found that out the hard way as head coach Willie Taggart has suspended Andrews for some negative comments he made toward WKU “fans” after the Hlltoppers’ 36-33 overtime win over Middle Tennessee last week.

Andrews apparently took to Twitter and criticized fans who “said we suck and will never win a game.”

One thing I can say bout #UKfans is they loyal,” Andrews tweeted. “No matter how sorry they team is they always support them. Can’t say that bout #WKUfans smh.”

The tweets have since been deleted and an apology by Andrews was issued.

“Our policy is that you don’t do anything that’s going to bring a negative perspective on our football team,” Taggart said Monday. Andrews will miss this Saturday’s game against Florida Atlantic.
