Updated: Blackmon leaves game, Anyiam done for the season

Oklahoma State held off a pesky, albeit self-destructive, Missouri team today by a final score of 45-24, but the Cowboys had to finish the game without two of their receivers, one just so happening to be Justin Blackmon.

Blackmon has been held out after halftime for “precautionary measure” according to radio reports from Oklahoma State’s radio broadcast. The receiver has ice on his shoulders, but it was later reported that he left the game with concussion-like symptoms. Additionally, receiver Hubert Anyiam was held out with a boot on his foot. Coach Mike Gundy confirmed after the game that Anyiam would miss the rest of the season with a broken bone in his foot.

Blackmon had eight catches for 54 yards and Anyiam had one catch for 31 yards.

Oklahoma State’s other receivers stepped up today despite some dropped balls, but there will be obvious concern about Blackmon’s condition going forward. OSU’s remaining schedule puts them against Baylor, Kansas State, Texas Tech, Iowa State and Oklahoma.
