Arizona loses second recruit because of Mike Stoops firing

The firing of head coach Mike Stoops has already netted one recruiting casualty for Arizona, and it appears they’re getting another.

The Tuscon Citizen reports by way of Rivals.com that Klein Oak (TX) linebacker A.J. Hilliard has decommitted from the Wildcats and is considering his options once again.

“I’m looking at Baylor, West Virginia, Boise State and TCU the hardest,” Hilliard said. Rivals has Hilliard listed as the 19th-best ILB and is a three-star recruit.

Earlier this month, Leo Thomas, also from Texas, rescinded on his verbal to UA and is exploring offers from Colorado, Colorado State, North Texas and SMU.
