If SMU’s going to ruin Houston’s BcS dreams this weekend, they may have to do so without the services of one of the best running backs in the country almost no one’s heard of.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Zach Line did not practice Tuesday due to an injured toe. Line suffered the injury in the loss to Navy, but, after receiving treatment from the program’s medical staff, returned to the game.
Head coach June Jones said Line’s availability for the Cougars Saturdays could be a game-time decision.
Line is currently sixth in the country in rushing, averaging just over 122 yards per game. He’s also sixth in rushing touchdowns with 17.
