Status for B.J. Daniels against Louisville day-to-day

South Florida has a short week before their Friday game against Louisville, which could mean bad news for Bulls quarterback B.J. Daniels.

Daniels suffered a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder during a 6-3 loss to Miami last Saturday and is considered day-to-day. If he can’t practice or is limited through Wednesday, Bobby Eveld would probably get the nod for USF if Daniels can’t go.

“Don’t know what B.J. is going to be able to do,” coach Skip Holtz said via teleconference. “If he’s not able to practice one of those three days, it will be hard for him. We’ll approach it like we don’t have B.J. and he’s not going to be there, and then we’ll see if he can come and join us tomorrow or Wednesday.”

USF is 5-5 and faces a critical last two games to get to bowl eligibility.
