Nevada dismisses leading rusher

With just two regular season games left, Nevada has announced that it will go forward without their leading rusher, Mike Ball. In an official statement released by the school, coach Chris Ault said a violation of team rules led to Ball’s dismissal.

“Mike violated team rules and protocol and, unfortunately for him, there was no other alternative,” Ault said. “We’ll do everything we can to help Mike move forward.”

Ball had 704 yards and three touchdowns on 135 carries this season and is the school’s all-time leader in kick returns with 1,695 yards.
