Kansas State 4, state of Texas 0.
That’s the way K-State views it anyway. And they should. The surprising Wildcats — I sure as heck didn’t have them doing particularly well this year — are sitting at 9-2 with just one game left against Iowa State and on the verge of a potential Cotton Bowl invite.
Part of K-State’s successful season has been victories over all four Big 12 schools in Texas, and to commemorate, the school is now selling T-shirts that read “Texas State Champs” on the front with the scores of all four victories on the back.
Personally, I think it’s awesome. For a state that produces so much talent and has such history of success in football, of course a school’s going to brag when they accomplish something like this.
Take it as a compliment, Texas. It just means you matter.

That is the coolest thing! Now I might be a Nittany Lion (forever) but I’d love to have one of those Ts. Where do I get one?
K-State has done a great job dispensing with the Texas teams. In addition, they have a great marketing ploy, great advertising, and great souvenier t-shirt…should sell in the millions if it is well promoted. We know a few Texas teams’ alums and fans who would like to have one as a momento.
Ben: If you have a link where one may be purchased, please provide it. Thank you.
Happy Thanksgiving All!
Hell, I am a die-hard Horns fan and I would buy one. K-State has done extremely well this year, and I hope they win out.
I still can’t believe that our offense is so anemic as to lose a game where K-State was held to 120 total yards.
Smack talk – You’re doing it RIGHT!
I’m reminded of the old saying….”It ain’t bragging if you can do it!”
What a clever recruiting tool. More importantly it shows how relevant K State has become, again. Maybe one of the Texas schools will keep Urban Meyer from ruining my Buckeyes football team.
But Kansas State hasn’t beaten TCU or U of H…and they are both in Texas, you know!!
Hmmm….I must have slept through K-State’s victories over TCU and Houston.
As an Aggie though, this hurts.
As pointed out by others, they haven’t played the two best teams in Texas. Now, they might beat Houston, but they wouldn’t neat TCU.
Haha!!! I’m an LSU fan and I LOVE this and want one!!!
Sell millions? Do they even sell out their own stadium?
I guess OU and OSU will meet to decide who that Kansas State Champs are this year. Lame.
Hats off to Bill Snyder, though. That dude is a hell of a coach.
If U of H loses to either Tulsa or Southern Miss, we may end up seeing them matched up against K-State in the bowl season…or maybe K-State can be matched up with TCU somehow. LOL
Much props to Bill Snyder. He doesn’t get nearly his due on a national level as to how great of a coach he is.
Nice job K-State, but… Okla State also beat the same 4 Texas Schools you did (again), AND they beat YOU. So I guess we know who the real Texas State Champs are, don’t we?
bozosforall: Snyder reminds us of some venerable coaches of yesteryear that we knew and respected so much. We hope he is well on his way to finally receiving the recognition which he deserves.
to Vandalcowboy, Yeah, Texas Champs who lost to Iowa State.
This will go well with the “Texas Toast” shirts from last year.
I’ll take the “over” if KS plays Houston
I’m a Longhorn fan and I say PROPS to KS. Shoot, I’d buy one….It was kind of back-handed, but Ben’s right, it was a compliment never-the-less.
However, they really only beat 3 Texas schools. Everybody here knows that a&m isn’t really a Texas school. a&m is just a bunch of folks from Oklahoma that got lost while looking for Blinn Jr. College.
I think it pays respect to Texas schools for usually being the big-hitters of the Big 12. I am proud of K-State for a great and unexpected season. I bought 3, 2 for some friends in Texas. It’s available online from K-State’s bookstore, Varney’s.

ksubrittany:
Thank you for the link and info. We will forward it to friends in Texas and elsewhere who are wanting a shirt. Coach Snyder has caught the fancy of many who have really been impressed with what his team and he have been able to do.
Thank you again!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
so the only championship they will win is a pretend championship… oh wait.
@ ksubrittany
As someone that holds a graduate degree from KSU, I’m really proud of what they’ve done this season. And wish I could have seen a game this season out in Manhattan as well. Enjoy your holiday.
