North Alabama grabs another Gator transfer

About a month an a half after it was announced that Florida linebacker Dee Finley would be transferring from the program, we now know the destination to where Finley will go.

Finley took to his Twitter account last night and announced that he would be transferring to North Alabama. Finley’s move would mark the second Gator to transfer to UNA in the past six months. In June, Florida cornerback Janoris Jenkins transferred to the Lions after getting kicked off the team for marijuana possession earlier in the year.

Although not given the boot like Jenkins, Finley’s decision to transfer came after he was arrested in September and was initially charged with driving with a suspended license and a felony of resisting an officer with violence -- the latter of which was later reduced to a misdemeanor.

Finley was mostly used as a back-up linebacker and played on special teams. He missed one game due to a suspension -- against Tennessee -- that arose from the arrest.
