Getty ImagesWhile most of the college football world focuses on the BcS bowls, year-in and year-out some of the best postseason games come from outside the flawed system currently used to determine a national champion.
With all of the announcements made official Sunday, a total of 30 non-BcS bowl games will be contested between the New Mexico Bowl Dec. 17 and the GoDaddy.com Bowl Jan. 8.
As we value your input and opinion immensely — and, yes, I typed that with a straight face and everything — we decided to pose the following question: which non-BcS bowl is the best matchup? Personally, I’m really looking forward to the Liberty Bowl pitting Cincinnati vs. Vanderbilt , but this is not about me; it’s about you, the reader.
We’ve selected a handful of games for you to vote on below. And if you don’t like the choices we’ve offered? Voice your opinion in the comments section.
Probably the best matched teams in a bowl game is in the outback.
The most intriguing bowl may be the ticket city bowl.
The worst bowl game going is the Gator bowl. Neither team sees the top 25, no matter the outcome of the game.
If Oklahoma and Arkansas was playing in the Cotton Bowl, that would have been an excellent game.
Looking forward to Northwestern-TAMU and Auburn-Virginia

I can see how you feel that way regarding the Gator Bowl, but honestly, outside of numbers one and two, what does the rest really matter?
This is game is not about rankings or anything like that. It has many layers. Maybe thats why you are in the minority of thinking it is the least compelling (check the results).
Penn State vs. Houston and KSU vs. Arkansas look to be fun match-ups. Looking forward to both of them.
Florida State / Notre Dame should be interesting.
Arkansas / K-State will be worth watching.
Georgia / Michigan State will be good as well.
As a UF Gators fan, I honestly have no interest in the Gator Bowl. Two 6-6 teams just don’t get me excited… even if one of them is mine. I’m more interested in seeing how Arkansas and Georgia represent the SEC against a couple of really good teams from the Big 12 and the Big 10, respectively.
SEC fans (and I’m one of them) always talk about how much our conference is superior to the others, especially the other major conferences. Now it’s time to put up or shut up. That’s why I wanted to see LSU play OK State. Prove it on the field! I also was hoping for Alabama against either Boise State or Oregon. I want to see if those offenses are “real”, or would they just shred a quality defense like ‘Bama’s. Oh well…
