Getting to this postseason position might have already worn out both of these teams.
Louisville (7-5) had to rebound sharply from a 2-4 start, which didn’t seem likely considering the youthfulness of the roster.
Meanwhile, N.C. State (7-5) needed to stage the second-biggest comeback in ACC history to erase a 41-14 deficit in the last 21 minutes of the game and post a 56-41 victory over Maryland.
The feeling here is that Charlie Strong’s Cardinals have more left in the tank, as well as better leadership and togetherness.
