Utah State coach gets team logo tattooed on back

From the bad idea files, we bring you this:

On Sunday, a week after Utah State found out they were going to the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl (that’s even painful to type), coach Gary Anderson drove to Salt Lake City to make good a promise he made to his players before the season.

Go to a bowl game, and he’ll get a tattoo of the school’s logo.

I have to keep my promise to the kids,” Andersen told the Salt Lake Tribune. “It’s a little weird having a tattoo, but this is well worth it. I love it.”

And a tattoo Anderson received, right on the back of his shoulder.

Anderson has a contract with the Aggies through 2016, and as long as he keeps coaching his teams to bowl games, there isn’t a remote chance he’ll get fired.

But there’s no need for me to tell you the potential ramifications of branding yourself with your current employer’s logo. Good thing tattoo artists can do something over it, or painfully remove it.

Oh, and if you must, please make all “did he receive an impermissible discount?” comments below.
