A few days after a 27-13 win over Iowa State in the Pinstripe Bowl, Rutgers receiver Mohamed Sanu has announced in a press conference that his days with the Scarlet Knights are over.

Sanu will declare for the NFL Draft after leading Rutgers in receptions (115) yards (1206) and scored seven touchdowns this season.

Sanu finishes with over 2,200 receiving yards in his three-year career with the Scarlet Knights. Sanu also rushed for 653 yards and nine touchdowns, and threw four touchdown passes during his career. His 210 receptions are a school best.

“It was a tough decision, because I was definitely thinking about coming back,” Sanu said. “I’m going to miss the family, the cohesiveness of being around my teammates every day.

“I’m emotionally attached to this team. … We have such a tight bond, and I love all these guys.”

Sanu is projected to be a second round pick by some NFL scouts.

Wisconsin Recruiting Coordinator, Joe Randoph, will pick it and eat it.

Sanu is a good kid, best of luck to him. He was a Viking in HS, a Knight in College, so maybe he can be a Cowboy in the NFL.
