Hosley leaving Hokies early to make draft leap

Following weeks of speculation, and after a heartbreaking loss in the Sugar Bowl, Jayron Hosley confirmed he’s played his final game in a Virginia Tech uniform.

The cornerback said after the overtime loss to Michigan that he will be leaving the Hokies early for the April NFL draft. The NFL’s draft advisory board indicated to Hosley that he would most likely be a second-round selection.

“It’s gonna be tough walking away but I got to do what I got to do,” Hosley said. “I think I handled my business pretty well.”

Hosley has been named to the first-team All-ACC team in each of the past two seasons.
