Following Wake Forest’s Music City Bowl loss to Mississippi State, resulting in the school;s third straight losing season, coach Jim Grobe decided not to retain two assistants.
Special teams coordinator Keith Henry and co-defensive coordinator Tim Billings will not return to the staff in 2012, the school announced. Henry was a long-time assistant under Grobe at both Wake Forest and Ohio, and Billings joined the Decons’ staff in 2006
“I just think we need to make some changes,’’ Grobe said. “We’re just in a situation right now where it could be good for those guys to have new opportunities and it could be good for us get some new ideas, and things like that.’
“Keith and Tim have been valuable members of our staff,” Grobe added in a release. “We wish them all the best.”
