Cal is just cleaning up at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
The Golden Bears already picked up defensive tackle Ellis McCarthy and will now get the No. 7 recruit from the Rivals100 in safety Shaq Thompson from Grant HS (CA).
Thompson picked the Bears over Notre Dame and Washington. At 6’2″ and 210 pounds, Thompson already has great size at the safety position.
Tedford can recruit but it never translates into team success.
goblue714, are you STONED? He is a GREAT coach in the BEST conference in college football! Screw the SEC, they put out huge linemen and running backs, but the QB and WR league is the PAC 12.
Going up against USC, Oregon, Stanford, Az St, not to mention everyone else there, Cal has a tough job and always stays relevant, always has an entertaining offense, and always puts a ton of players in the NFL.
I would LOVED to have Jeff Tedford come to Penn State- I think he’s the best coach in college right now overall.
Be blessed and recognize what you have there….
@dadsource
Are you STONED.. is this the same Tedford rumored to be on hot seat last two seasons. Goblue is 100% correct, Tedford is good recruiter, but consistently underachieves with Cal teams.
Thompson looked like Sean Taylor out there…. Gonna be pretty good.
Yes I agree he looked real good, he would look real good in maize and blue.
