Chip Kelly…not so much. And why would he leave Oregon? He’s got a great machine churning there.

In New Hampshire he didn’t even run the spread until he found the team had a shortage of fullbacks on the roster.

Believe me, he’s capable enough to adapt to his surroundings. I’d guess that he could hire an offensive coach to install a more traditional scheme, with some of Kelly’s handprints, and use his overall coaching ability to lead the team.

Isn’t going to happen….Kelly loves Oregon. He’s never been the type of dude to move just because someone wants to throw some money at him.

When does Sean McDonnell from UNH get his chance at a big time school? He and Chip developed that offense together when Chip was the offensive coordinator there.

For once, though, recent history is turning around for college coaches in the NFL, with Jim Harbaugh’s instant success (And Pete Carroll has the ship righted in Seattle). This seems to be the exception to the rule, obviously. But if the right coach truly wants to be a pro coach, go for it.
If they fail, there’s a pretty good change they’ll fall right into another plum college jobs (see: Saban, Petrino).

Spurrier and Saban both found out , that the Pros. aren’t a bunch of kids that take kindly to being led as if there were. I would wager to say, that Saban and Miles both get a better paycheck in college than they would at the pro level right now.
