Brice Butler moving on to San Diego State

After “looking around” at other schools for the second time in the last year, USC receiver Brice Butler has finally landed on a transfer destination.

In a text message to ESPN LA’s Pedro Moura and the Orange County Register, Butler confirmed he will go to San Diego State for his remaining year of eligibility. Butler, and we didn’t mention this last time, graduated in December and will pursue a graduate degree at SDSU. Butler said he chose SDSU over Kansas.

Butler is the third Trojan to leave the program in the last few days, although Butler was expected to depart from the program. Running back Amir Carlisle has transferred to Notre Dame and wide receiver Kyle Prater has announced his intentions to transfer, but it’s not known yet to where he will go.

While at USC, Butler totaled 41 catches for 554 yards in three years. He considered transferring last season, but ultimately stayed with the Trojans.
