Arizona’s spring game will be off campus

Just nine days after the end of the 2011 college football season and some schools are beginning to announce their spring football dates.

When Arizona hosts their spring game on April 14, they’ll be doing so off campus while the school’s football stadium is being renovated. Athletic director Greg Byrne told the Tucson Citizen that the school hasn’t decided on a site for the game, but Kino Stadium, which hosted the Casino Del Sol All-Star Game last Monday, was a possibility.

The 10,000 seat stadium would likely be able to hold any crowd that comes out for the event; UA attendance numbers were 4,500 and 6,000 the last two years for the spring game, but that could spike with the hire of Rich Rodriguez.
