Clemson’s leading tackler undergoes surgery, will miss spring practice

Clemson safety Rashard Hall led the team in 2011 in tackles. What’s more amazing is that he played the entire season with a knee injury.

Now, Hall will have to miss spring ball because of that injury, which he suffered in the Tigers’ season-opening game against Troy. He missed the following week’s game against Wofford, but went on to play in 12 consecutive games to end the season -- including the Orange Bowl.

And, he did all that knowing the injury would require surgery.

Tough guy.

Hall had surgery on the knee earlier this week. The soon-to-be graduate student should be back by fall camp.

In addition to his 89 tackles, Hall had three tackles for loss, one sack and two interceptions.
