Nick Montana won’t end up at Blinn College after all

When word broke that Washington quarterback Nick Montana would be transferring from the Huskies, he was immediately connected to Blinn College, former home of Cam Newton, in Texas.

That may not turn out to be the case.

ESPN’s Joe Schad reports that Montana will instead go to Mt. San Antonio College in California.

A redshirt freshman, Montana lost out to Keith Price in Washington’s spring practice last year. He completed 24 of 42 passes for 226 yards and three touchdowns as a backup in 2011, appearing as a starter in a loss against Oregon State when Price went out the game before with a knee injury.

Montana’s brother, Nate, also found himself on the transfer list this past year as well, leaving Notre Dame for 1-AA Montana.
