LB Josh Harvey-Clemons has sister reveal Bulldogs allegiance

UPDATED 4:20 p.m. ET: As we noted on our signing day home page, Harvey-Clemons has yet to actually send in his paperwork to Georgia. ESPN reports that they have spoken to the recruit, who confirms he still plans on signing with UGA, but did not give a timetable as to when his National Letter of Intent would be faxed in.

Well, we have our first semi-ridiculous signing day choice in the books.

One of the most highly-regarded linebackers/athletes in the country, Josh Harvey-Clemons fromValdosta (GA), chose to stay in-state and attend the University of Georgia over both Florida and Florida State.

Of course, staying in-state and “close to home” is a little bit different if you’re from Valdosta; both Gainesville and Tallahassee are both relatively close to the Georgia-Florida border town that has produced so many athletes through the years.

But it wasn’t Harvey-Clemons who revealed his choice, but his younger sister, taking off her sweatshirt to reveal another red Georgia sweatshirt. Harvey-Clemons then put on the signature UGA hat and the Bulldogs look to be off to yet another stellar signing day.

Harvey-Clemons is the No. 32 recruit according to 247Sports and No. 31 according to Rivals.

Of course, there’s a long way to go as well.
