Bo Pelini OK after signing day car wreck

Bo Pelini, Jerry McGinn AP

It was a relatively rough day on the recruiting front for Bo Pelini, with Nebraska’s 2012 class coming in as low as No. 50 ( according to one of the top recruiting services and no higher than No. 25 ( in the other two.

Unfortunately for the Cornhuskers head coach, it didn’t get much better later on in the day.

Pelini confirmed to the Lincoln Journal-Star that he was involved in a car accident on his way to a recruiting dinner Wednesday evening.  From the paper’s description, Pelini was entering an intersection when another vehicle collided with the front passenger side of the coach’s vehicle.

“It was kind of nasty, but everybody’s OK,” Pelini told the paper.

While the individuals were OK, Pelini’s vehicle wasn’t; the coach had to take another vehicle to make his way to the recruiting affair.

I was wondering why they ranked so low? Maybe recruits don’t want to play for a psycho dick?

Seriously, why did they only sign 17 guys? Must be a young team, right?

Say what you want about Bo, but the Huskers have been FAR better under him than the last two coaches.

But Bo…. it’s time to show something on the national scene.

They got a high rated QB to replace Taylor, if Carnes doesn’t pan out, and they got a pretty high rated WR to add a new deep threat.

Defense they were very young, offense same boat.

    1. Nebraska doesn’t over sign and guarantees its players a 4 year scholarship.
    2. The team is young and there weren’t many spaces.
    3. Still need a QB.

Taylor has Carnes breathing down his neck, and with this new recruit, they could have someone to breath down his neck real quick.

Losing Bubba to the baseball wasteland that is KC hurt.

Your right I am a big supporter of Carnes, we shall see how this new QB plays out. I have been burned so many times by future QB’s. I will believe it when I see it. Right now we have no QB.

T mart lacks poise, leadership, pocket presence, vision, good judgement, consistency, and poo’s his pants in the face of adversity. but hey at least we had another mediocre recruiting class, nothing that few walk on’s can’t remedy.
