Ex-Wisconsin official has another allegation of misconduct

Unfortunately for Wisconsin, it appears one allegation of inappropriate conduct against a former athletic official is just the beginning.

Two weeks or so after news broke that ex-associate athletic director John Chadima was accused of an unwanted sexual advance -- a reported “crotch grab” -- toward an unnamed male student employee at a Rose Bowl party, the Associated Press reports that UW police are investigating another incident of misconduct by Chadima.

Interim UW chancellor David Ward said on Monday that police have been investigating a second incident since Jan. 30; Chadima resigned from his position on Jan. 6 shortly after being placed on administrative leave. The only detail of the new investigation is that it involves an adult male.

It’s unclear if that investigation is related in any way to text messages Chadima sent to another student employee, “in which Chadima demanded the student come to his hotel suite and threatened to fire him if he did not comply.” Those messages were discovered in the first investigation involving the Rose Bowl party.
