@chooga - thanks for the response! Interesting - the story just blew up then just blew away so it just had me wondering what happened and why it had died so quickly. The last article I can recall was on the Bankruptcy Trustee issuing subpoenas to all 70 plus players to confirm or refute the amount of benefits they got from this guy.

Huey-

Because Yahoo did an irresponsible story where their major source (most of the time the only source) on the allegations was this nut job jock sniffer on steriods. He is a convicted felon in a million dollar ponzi scheme.....he is a liar is what that means. That is why nobody follows this joke.

So the "MUCH more severe" stuff from Yahoo was BS put out by a guy who wants attention since he is sitting in jail and no one is helping him.

UM will get in some trouble for a booster giving benefits to some athletes. 8 athletes already served suspension, UM self imposed a bowl ban.

This UM thing without the Yahoo hit piece hype is much more like the Boise State violations than OSU, USC and UNC where there was involvement by the institution as a whole. UM's was a lone booster breaking rules for his own personal gain.

Only because of irresponsible Yahoo journalism was the "death penalty" blabber shooting around the morons at ESPN.

I am a bit baffled about the media coverage, or total lack thereof, regarding this scandal!

During the USC and OSU scandals you could barely blink an eye before another story was posted / published. There was not one pebble that wasn't turned over 4 times, there was not one former player left alone, and there was not one corner of closet that wasn't lit up and inspected for dirt. Didn't matter whether the story was remotely vetted, out to the media it went.

Yet, at Miami, where the allegations were MUCH more severe, literally, nothing for months! Just curious why there is not the same level of blitzkrieg frenzied reporting coming out of the U.
