Roughly three weeks after deciding to transfer from Ohio State, David Durham has found a new college football home.
A Pittsburgh spokesperson confirmed to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that the fullback has decided to transfer to the school and continue his playing career with the Panthers.
In order to satisfy current NCAA transfer rules, Durham will be forced to sit out the 2012 season. He will have two years of eligibility beginning in 2013.
Durham, a member of the Buckeyes’ 2010 recruiting class, played very sparingly his two years in Columbus. With new head coach Urban Meyer installing a spread offense that deemphasizes the fullback position, Durham decided to transfer last month.
Probably the best move for Durham if he’s looking for a future as a FB.
Not many of those left in college and pro football.
Good luck, Dave Durham
Smart move by the kid. A year, to wait hurts but better than riding the pine for his last two years in college.
I thought Urb wasn’t going to run the spread at OSU ???
Meyer will run the spread. Why mess with success?
The retro PITT logo is actually more interesting than this article
Glad to hear he going to a good program. they don’t cheat at Pitt
