Yep, it’s officially the offseason, where suspensions and arrests begin to congeal into one category.
The latest player to be hit with a suspension for breaking team rules is UConn safety Jerome Junior. The school announced today that Junior will miss the entire 2012 season, and that Junior is currently not enrolled in school, nor will he be enrolled in the fall.
Junior started 11 games for UConn last year, sitting out one game for violation of team policies. He was fourth on the team with 60 tackles.
Sounds like Junior can kiss his days with the Huskies goodbye.

“Yeah, the message is that we have program policies, we have a very, very high level of expectation of our players in many areas and one of those areas is behavior – whether it be on campus, off campus, in the meeting room, on the practice field, at the game we’re not going to accept anything but appropriate behavior. It was a violation, for me, it was a violation of what’s expected here in the football program and we can’t accept it.”
