Texas Tech reportedly loses assistant to A&M

Texas Tech head coach Tuberville celebrates touchdown during their NCAA Big 12 Conference football game against University of Oklahoma in Norman AP

Back in December, Terry Price was hired by Tommy Tuberville to coach the defensive line at Texas Tech.

Two months later, Tuberville has reportedly lost the assistant to a soon-to-be-former conference rival.

RedRaiderSports.com is reporting that Price has left Tech to take the same job at Texas A&M.  Neither school has confirmed the coaching development.

Price had worked on Tuberville’s staff at Auburn and Ole Miss.

It doesn’t appear, though, that the job with the Red Raiders will be open for long.  The same website is reporting that Marshall DL coach Fred Tate is leaving the Herd to take the same position with Tech.

Tate reportedly interviewed for the job Friday and an agreement is expected to be reached in short order.
