Seizures lead to hospitalization of USF lineman

A health issue has landed a USF offensive lineman in an area hospital, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times is reporting.

According to Auman, Bulls lineman David Simon suffered two seizures this past week. He’s currently undergoing tests at a Tampa hospital to try to determine the cause of the seizures.

Auman writes that “the priority isn’t football or even classes right now, but finding out what caused the seizures and learning how to control them.”

Suffice to say, Simon’s status for spring practice and beyond is unknown. The Bulls commence spring practice March 21.

Simon was a three-star member of USF’s 2011 recruiting class. He took a redshirt his true freshman season last year.
