While Georgia Tech has yet to make it officially official, it appears the Yellow Jackets will look to That Country Up North to fill the void on its coaching staff.
The Canadian Football League’s Calgary Stampeders announced in a news release Wednesday that one of its assistants, Dave Walkosky, is leaving the organization to take a job at Tech. That CFL club’s release stated that Walkosky will be the Yellow Jackets’ special teams coordinator.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that an announcement from Tech is not expected until early next week.
Walkosky had been named as the Stampeders’ defensive coordinator in December of last year. He has also been the head coach at Div. II Tiffin (Ohio) University as well as serving on coaching staffs at Washington State and Toledo.
Well, give them credit for one thing. At least they are going to be international with players from England, and down under. With rule changes regarding kick offs coming, it might be a day late and dollar short now, but it is a move in the right direction at least.
Nowwwwwww, about that TO offense ya got coach.
