Deb: I finally got through on the phone with one of the grandchildren of one of the ladies of southernpatriots. After she posted on Mar. 9 9:49 AM, later that afternoon she went into the hospital for tests, where she has remained for treatment every since. She and her sister-in-law remain the hospital with their children and grandchildren at their sides. The remainder of the southernpatriots family members are in rural Appalachia, without any use of computers or the Internet. So, your snideful and spiteful posting to them was completely uncalled for. You falsely accused them of something no member of southernpatriots could possibly do...so once again you are lying against them. Just as you agreed with the lies of the normtide homer when he made lying presumptuous statements about them. Check your broom, it is certainly malfunctioning.

dmcgrann: Don't have enough time to address your posting, but with the numerous dentists and dental surgeons from Louisiana, Georgia, Tennessee, West Virginia, and doctors from Kentucky and Pennsylvania as well as Georgia and Louisiana working in the teams in Appalachia, I think they are making a huge difference in the lives of the poor children of Appalachia. They have worked there for over the past 30 years, providing free dental care, medical care, and sponsoring scholarships for the children. I am honored to have helped a tiny bit and will return soon to help again. I am sure you are doing your part in helping the needy where you live.

My values, sense of humor, football philosophy, and support for the teams of the SEC, including LSU, haven't changed. But when people attack my team and coach incessantly, I will speak up. And if they post that he's a liar and their coach a saint, I'll post clips of their coach lying. If I'm under attack, I'd hope those I've steadfastly supported and encouraged will show me the same loyalty. When they don't, I'm candid about my disappointment. But you must have learned by now that being honest and speaking up for yourself against the majority doesn't win popularity contests.

I have closed my law practice. I had wanted to retire completely, but instead accepted an offer to mentor young trial attorneys in a public- service-sector office. The reduction of stress is the greatest benefit. You may have noticed the slight change of tone.
What has surprised me the most lately is this conflict with SoPats that you have. Y'all used to be so like-minded. And he (and his family) don't seem to post as often. WTH??
I'm sure that there are many curious to view your picture upon its posting. But, for me, I fear that you would be wearing something Crimson & White. It wouldn't matter if you were a Super-Model, if that were the case. Having grown up a Christian, and studied much religion and philosophy, "Satan" is my particular bane. I see that he corches at Abrulbama, and his name, curiously, happens to be "Nick."

How are things at the firm today? I'm always intellectually elevated by the erudite posts of big-time lawyers like you.

Hello, lakesidegator ...

How is life in the swamp? Don't forget, hon, these are the same folks who begged me to pounce on nasty ol' you. Provocative football commentary is controversial. I enjoy it and don't mind taking hits--or thumbs down--for speaking my piece. This nonsense isn't karma--it's people going through their second childhood. But much as they like to think they are "among the majority here at CFT," this site attracts 8 million unique viewers a month during its busy season. Those readers come here for football, not travelogues and recipes and could care less about petty vendettas. I get plenty of positive feedback from people who actually seem interested in the sport. That works for me.

Have a nice day! :D

Yes ... we both know you're lurking. You've got your people on here now posting that I've said inappropriate things to young boys ... on an adult football Web site. How proud you must be. And all this simply because I expressed disappointment that you wouldn't back me up as I had backed you up over and over again, and supported you and prayed for your family. And of course, because I continued to support my own team. What's most disappointing is that you have allowed and encouraged so much evil on your behalf toward someone foolish enough to befriend you in the first place. What sad, petty people you all are. Enjoy your vengeance. But remember that whatever tales and denials your friends post here, one will always know. For that, I'm sorrier for all of you than anyone reading this will understand.

I understand that I am among the majority here on CFT. I read alot of posting, I try to read them all, but I post very seldom.

I love the Cajun recipes that southernpatriots posted a few months ago. I made the redbeans and rice for my family and for friends at work and a third time since. I also love their travel log and reports from various places they go and work they do. I wish I could join them to work among the poor of Appalachia. My heart has gone out to them since I saw the ABC documentary a few years ago, I think it was called "Children of the Mountain" with Dianne Sawyer.

Deb may be experiencing "reaping what she sowed" from what she has posted to young boys before as well as fans from other schools. It is good know she is now married, and someone turned her.

I find Deb's comments to be objective and constructive. Some of you just need to take a breath and just appreciate the opportunity we have to express ourselves here. Y'all take things far to personally here as if anything we write will have an impact on what a university ultimately ends up doing. Heck, the South Carolina BBall team finished the season 10-21!! That's 10 wins and 21 losses! I want the coach fired but I know what I want and what is going to happen are MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE. But it's fun to post and someone once told me it is therapeutic to write and rant as a way of releasing frustration / steam. Let's quit trying to ban people....it ain't that hot in this kitchen. Thank you, Deb's husband (LOL)

Oh, please. These comments look like the comments on the news stories on WV TV stations, most of which have turned off their commenting feature, or, GASP!, moved them to Facebook so people can't be so damn anonymous.

If I were a professional (and you don't know if I am of not) in any sense of the word, and was needed to "help" the "victims of Sandusky", the LAST thing I'd do would be to post that information here.

I'm happy for you guys who are taking your traveling show to Athens, Knoxville, Morgantown, and State College to "help" people. My guess is that you probably don't provide the help they need, but maybe you do. My guess is that they'll feel better once you come, but be the same when you leave. Keep trying. In any event, your good deeds have NOTHING to do with college football. Oh, and not everyone thinks that Louisiana home/Cajun cooking is that great, anyway. You'd be surprised at how many folks just like a good meatloaf.

Now, lest tigersgeaux and southernpatriots think I'm picking on them, Deb, what are you Tide folks thinking? You know what the folks in the hinterland think? That those crazy Alabama guys kill trees, get liquored up, and wave their you-know-whats up against the face of fans of the opposing team. Woo-hoo!

Heck, when Alabama won the "National Championship", I expected to see reports of trees being killed via some sort of "peckeration."

That's it. There's too much jackassery in the world without intentionally adding to it.

It's a football site, not a knitting circle. JT doesn't take issue with good-natured smacktalk and the kind of general sports banter that commonly occurs on these sports sites. He writes that way himself. I've had a lot of positive feedback on my comments. If they're too salty for you, skip them. Your friends, southernpatriots, regularly posted that they found me hilarious until I had an altercation with an LSU fan. I guess fandom is thicker than friendship.

What JT minds is the ongoing junior-high hair-pulling nonsense. My own participation in these infantile catfights is mortifying to me, more than anything because I hate playing into such an obvious gender stereotype. I just wish you and your sycophants would get over your mad obsession. Which is a nice way of saying ... please, get a life. Meantime, JT knows I am trying mightily just to pretend you don't exist.

JT: Thank you. Will do. I am curious, however, when Deb directly posts to other posters that they are a "jackass" and calls unknown fans she suspects are LSU fans without proof that they are "asses" and some she suspects are little boys that need to "grow penises," that there appears to be no effort to stop her.

All female LSU fans are "cows" as Deb has posted at various times, including in this thread. I would recommend monitoring her postings for the next few months if you don't already know through her postings, Deb has chased away fans from LSU, B1G, PAC, and other conferences and schools. They continue to post on Bleacher Report and other sites but seldom do here any longer.

Thank you again JT. Have a great weekend!

Tide witch, there you go again. You need to check your broom, as you posted previously. The best thing you do about LSU fans is lie about them, including me. I have never chased anyone from CFT, but you have. I don't want to chase you from CFT, it is another lie from you. I don't have a bunch of friends or sycophants who knee jerk write junk following your cue or preceding you to get your agreement. You are legend in your own mind. As Auburn fans have posted to you, you don't know what you talking about and either lie and you did in this previous posting, exaggerate (which is another form of lying) while doing little for anyone else, you judge and criticize others. If you don't remember what you post, then others do and we will have some of those choice postings available for others in the future.

This is a website, liar, and not your personal one. I don't know any posters here except 2 others. Others have stated they think you are either an idiot or a bitter woman venting your trash against all who dare to confront you. Keep proving them right. Have a nice day!

Sorry ... being followed around the site by a pack of junior high mean girls (except in this case, it's a bunch of old biddies) does get my dander up occasionally. It would make a great psychological case study. Besides the fact that I'm an adult and fight my own battles, my friends and family have lives. I can't fathom even suggesting to them that they register on a Web site for the sole purpose of using the little thumbs to harass someone they don't know. And if I did suggest such a thing, they'd think it was time for an intervention.

This is a Web site, not a clubhouse. We come here to read the articles and comment ... not to bring all our friends. That my comments have driven away people is the invention of someone who doesn't like what I post. Too bad. The only person waging an organized campaign to drive anyone away is tigersgeaux. She needs help. But I'm not in that business. However, I'll work on praying for her ... and sticking to the subject.

Alabama and Auburn - don't care - not a fan of either although I respect passion for your teams.
As fans of college football - root for your teams - wish them well, and show respect to the players - of BOTH teams - if your team wins - great - when they lose - show respect. These kids - on BOTH sides of the ball - give their all to entertain you - and to represent their schools and fans.
Poisoning trees? Over the top.
Having a beer with a rival fan - after a win - or loss - is a GREAT thing.
Had our share of losses in the last few years - getting better - but doesn't matter - I am a Husker through and through. Win or lose - I will be happy to have a beer with a true fan of football - a respectful fan.

Unknown fans that the Tide witch calls LSU fans without any evidence are called "asses" by her here in CFT, and others she identifies as young men (again without any evidence) she tells them to "grow penises." She has the gaul to quote the Bible in her posting here?

The Tide witch ridicules the good the folks in the family of public servants which post under the name of "southernpatriots" who help a family of Bama fans who like most fans at the BCS NCG at the Superdome who did not have the extra funds to spend a large amount on an unexpected auto repair (the price of tickets, lodging, and food already extended many budgets) and as usual the good family of patriots and public servants extends a helping hand. The good Tide witch admits through her ridicule she would have done nothing to help them.

What a great asset to CFT she is. She has brought no one to CFT, but has chased numerous fans from LSU, the B1G, and even the PAC as well as other conferences and schools away by her diatribes, criticisms, and postings. I am not going anywhere either. Perhaps I should adopt a policy as other posters have stated in previous postings to put a thumbs down each time I see the Tide witch's postings? At least if I did that I could enable her to at least not lie anymore when she falsely accuses me of doing this. I think not, I will just let the Tide witch continue to be liar she already is and let other fans express themselves as they have in the past.

Oh ... yes ... my regards to whomever you're saving this week. I'm losing count. So far it's been hurricane victims, tornado victims, the Sandusky victims, the Toomer's Corner trees, and the Alabama family that managed to afford the $350 face value on tickets to the championship game but somehow couldn't afford food or lodging once they'd reached New Orleans. So far it’s been hurricane victims, tornado victims, the Sandusky victims, the Toomer’s Corner trees, and the Alabama family that managed to afford the $350 face value on tickets to the championship game but somehow couldn’t afford food or lodging once they’d reached New Orleans. Yes, yes, I know. You couldn’t possibly be a bad person because you are saving the world, one football town at a time. Again … some of us take Matthew 6 seriously.

tigersgeaux, I never accused southernpatriots of anything. I simply expressed a sentence of disappointment that the friends who'd sought me out on multiple occasions to come to their aid, the people I'd defended so vehemently on the threads numerous times had been silent when I was under attack. I had the right to be disappointed that my friends were fair-weather. I didn't make any nasty comments or false accusations about them and said what I had to say directly to the people involved.

Because of that situation--which was none of your business--you screeched unwarranted and untruthful hysterics at me and have rallied all the heifers in your private herd to come onto this previously nice college football site for months for the sole purpose of directing infantile hate at me. You know what you've done and continue to do, God knows, and southernpatriots know. They can post all they want about being the salt of the earth. But by their fruits--and their friends--they are known. You are an evil, bitter hag. And you didn't inadvertently post anything. You might at least have the backbone to own your viciousness ... but then you're a coward on top of everything else. That's why you seek strength in numbers.

Cometkazie is onto you and your pack of wild cows, as he has posted many times. You're wasting your keystrokes with him. But your fans, as always, eat it up. So type on, Ms. Moo, type on. As you should know by now, I'm not going anywhere.

Have a nice night! :D

cometkazie: True. I have heard my father and uncle as well as southernpatriots' family members relate those incidents to me, including some by Tulane fans. Many True/REAL LSU fans, and great people, including all I know, contributed to the fund raising by UA alums, fans, and students for the Tide for Toomers. Similarly, many contributed years ago, when the effort was being made to expand Mike's environment, which is now a most extraordinary place. I have taken my niece and nephew and fellow worker's children there on many occasions.

My posting was absolutely correct but had an "s" which offended the same Tide witch who falsely accuses (same as lying) LSU fans on previous postings. My posting was a general posting and was satire. (thus according to her it is not to be criticized) as she defends sychophant Tide friends here on CFT when they criticize and mock Coach Miles, though they don't know him and object to us criticizing Coach Nick C'est Bon and we do know him, since he was our coach and Miles was never their's. Such is the hypocrisy and double standard practiced by one Tide fan.

I hope to be able to travel through Auburn at Easter week to see the work being done on the Trees at Toomer's Corner as I travel with southernpatriots' family on a return trip to West Virginia to help bring dental and medical care to many rural children and elderly. We will visit people they know there, stay overnight, and then through Athens, GA, Knoxville, and into Morgantown. They also may be able to take a side trip to State College, PA as they have been requested. They have friends there working with some of the victims of Sandusky.
