TCU DB facing formal charges of drug delivery

One of four TCU players arrested in a campus-wide drug sweep last month, defensive back Devin Johnson has been formally charged with three cases of delivery between one-quarter ounce and five pounds of marijuana.

The defensive back could face up to six years in jail and $30,000 in fines.

Johnson, along with TCU DT D.J. Yendrey, O-lineman Ty Horn and linebacker Tanner Brock, was one of more than a dozen people arrested in connection to the sting. All four of the TCU players arrested took part in a Feb. 1 drug test, but it was unclear if they were one of the five reported players that failed drug test ordered by coach Gary Patterson.

So far, nine people have been charged in the sweep.
