Arizona State not having any luck with DEs

With star defensive end Junior Onyeali suspended through spring practices for failing to meet “the high standards” of the football program, Arizona State was already down one man along the defensive line.

Now, they’re down another indefinitely.

According to a tweet from William Boor of ASU’s State Press Report, Sun Devils defensive end Davon Coleman, last year’s backup to Onyeali, is not practicing for, what else, failing “to meet a team standard.” The length and reason for the absence -- we’ll refrain from calling it a suspension for now -- has yet to be made public.

Coleman, a junior, played in all 12 regular season games for ASU last season (starting three), totaled 41 tackles (5 for loss) and tied for second on the team with 2.5 sacks.
