MTSU WR suffers shoulder injury, out ‘a while’

We know, we know. Slow news day.

But Saturday’s practice was more eventful for Middle Tennessee coach Rick Stockstill, who saw one of his new early enrollees leave with a pretty bad shoulder injury.

Via a tweet courtesy of Blue Raiders beat writer Adam Sparks, former JUCO wide receiver Marcus Henry suffered a separated shoulder in his first practice with the school. Sparks would only elaborate that Henry would be out “a while"; no one from MTSU has given a definite timetable for how long Henry could be sidelined.

Henry was a two-star recruit (Rivals.com) in MTSU’s 2012 class from Northwest Mississippi College. In nine games last season, Henry pulled in 46 receptions for 745 yards and nine touchdowns.
