MTSU, Minnesota add another game in 2014

Jerry Kill AP

Originally scheduled to play Miami (OH) during a 2014 non-conference meeting, Minnesota will now be playing a 2010 opponent instead.

UM announced along with Middle Tennessee that the two sides would be playing on Sept. 6, 2014 at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis to fill the void left at the request of Miami (OH). Minnesota and Miami will now meet in September of 2016 in Oxford.

MTSU and UM were already scheduled to meet in 2017, meaning the Blue Raiders will have to face the Gophers twice on the road over the next several years. The Blue Raiders will be paid $775,000 in guaranteed money for the trip.

MTSU and UM met in 2010 in Murfreesboro, a 24-17 win by the Gophers.
