If the account is true then this is a disgrace. It shows by going from felony to misdemeanor. Should be nothing. A bump by accident is in no way a crime. How many times does a cop put his hands on you without it being a charge. I’ve been pushed up against a car checked out and told to get on my way and nothing happens to the cop.

I did read the article and that’s why I made the comment I did in regards to @atxcane’s comment. The original story stated why he was originally charged with two felonies. That person had it completely wrong. I don’t anything Florida because this is a post about FSU. Show me that thread and I’ll post a comment if that will make you happy.

I wasn’t at said incident and I’m guessing you weren’t either. Do I know exactly what happened? No I don’t. Do I know Jr? Nope. Do I know if he has ever been in trouble with the law? Nope. What I do know is that his girlfriend was being arrested and he interfered. Having just a bit of common sense would tell you not to interfere or get in the way and never touch a cop (accidentally or not). There was a calmer, more reasonable way for him to handle the situation and he didn’t.

It’s not up to me to decide if he should return to the team.

This man has NEVER been in trouble with the law, and they’ve been saying since the beginning that Wilder Jr. was trying to show the cop a text from his girlfriend’s probation officer and the cop overreacted–are you saying that doesn’t deserve a return to the team?! Meanwhile UF just let a player back on their team who threw his girlfriend down and tried to drag her out of the apartment by her hair. One of these deserves jail/banishment and one doesn’t…
