Not fair: ‘Zona DB again tears ACL

It’s bad enough when a player tears one ACL during his playing career. When the same thing happens twice to the same player, in a little over a year? Suffice to say, that’s beyond the pale.

And yet, sadly, that’s exactly where Adam Hall finds himself.

During Arizona’s spring game Saturday, and as briefly noted by Ben HERE, the Wildcats safety suffered yet another torn ACL that will, in all likelihood, end any chance of a full-season 2012 comeback. That bit of unofficial news came via Hall’s Twitter feed; the school has yet to confirm that diagnosis.

“If you didn’t hear, now you know. Thank you for all the prayers,” Hall wrote.

In late March of last year, Hall suffered what was later diagnosed as a torn ACL. While he ultimately returned to play in an early October game, he was shutdown for the remainder of the season after aggravating the injury.

As a true sophomore in 2010, Hall finished fourth on the team in tackles with 54. It’s unclear whether the player or the school will seek an additional year of eligibility from the NCAA.
