Bo Pelini granted one-year extension (again)

About a year ago almost to the day, Nebraska coach Bo Pelini inked a five-year deal that would keep him through 2015 and would increase his salary annually by $100,000.

According to Nebraska athletic director Tom Osborne, however, one additional year was added to Pelini’s contract recently. In other words, Pelini’s contract again runs for five years, but now through 2016. The pay is the same; Pelini received a raise to $2.875 million this year.

Pelini enters his fifth season with the Cornhuskers, and his second in the Big Ten. Although Nebraska has never finished worse than 9-4 in each of those seasons, the Huskers have yet to win a conference title under Pelini.
