Suspended Oklahoma WR sticking with the Sooners

Well... never mind then.

The strange and eventful offseason for Oklahoma receiver Kameel Jackson has finally settled down apparently. Jackson, as you’ll recall, was one of four Sooners suspended last week for violating team policies, and a week or so before that, Jackson tweeted that he planned on transferring to former Big 12 member Texas A&M.

Sounds as though the latter won’t be happening. Making an early-morning tweet, Jackson not only said he’s staying put in Norman, but shed light on his recent suspension.

Decided to stay at OU,” Jackson said, “& w/ that being said, its time to silence all rumors.... My suspensions came from my failure to meet my class attendance policy. Nothing more; nothing less.”

The Sooners will need Jackson too -- once he comes back from suspension, that is. The sophomore caught 12 passes for 165 yards last season and will be in the mix with a talented but relatively young and inexperienced group of receivers this season.
