College Station mayor has a video response for Will Muschamp

Will Muschamp AP

It’s been over a year since former Texas defensive coordinator Will Muschamp left to take the head coaching job at Florida. Still, there’s been a certain “once a Longhorn, always a Longhorn” type of… something… that’s followed Muschamp from Austin to Gainesville.

Back in May, Muschamp was speaking to the Polk County Gator Club when he dropped the following one-liner about Florida’s first trip to Texas A&M this fall.

You ever been to College Station? It’ll be the only time you go.

Harmless. Even for the offseason it didn’t register on most radars, though it did prompt A&M coach Kevin Sumlin to tell Muschamp to “worry about his own team.” Still, it was hardly a war of words and the situation died on its own.

That is until College Station Mayor Nancy Berry came up with a YouTube gem that photoshops Muschamp’s head into pictures from all over the city. Yeah, it’s still an offseason story, but Berry’s video is clever and puts a good spin on the situation.

Enjoy.

    So freaking Stupid!!!!!!!!

    Her Honor the Mayor has a sense of humor. Muschamp does also, or at least he will need one when they do show up in College Station.

    The Aggies I work with will probably keep this non-story going until the game on Sept 8th.

    The Aggie band or Yell Leaders may have something special for Will when he arrives again at College Station to keep him reminded of the experience.

    how very aggy of them…wait til you get a load of all things aggy, $EC fans.

  5. rolltide510 says: Jun 1, 2012 8:58 PM

    Aggy is such a freak show. I can’t believe those weird ball-grabbers are in my conference now.

  6. thefiesty1 says: Jun 1, 2012 9:53 PM

    Typical Aggy. Just wait til the rest of the SEC shows up in College Station. There’s a reason there are so many Aggy jokes out there.

  7. coolhorn says: Jun 1, 2012 9:57 PM

    Hey SEC, there are no “take backs”…agricultural is all yours now. Thanks for taking them off of our hands, and enjoy Collie Station…two days there will feel like two weeks to you. Muschamp knows what he’s talking about, despite any aggy spin you get on this non-story.

    I thought that was brilliant and awesome.

  9. dawgs105 says: Jun 2, 2012 6:23 AM

    Most retarded video ever…

  10. thegamecocker says: Jun 2, 2012 8:53 AM

    LOL! Great sense of humor Madam Mayor! All in fun and nothing to get upset about at all. I hope Coach Muschamp laughed at that also as I’m sure it was meant in fun.

    The mayor of junior college station should have learned, long ago, the saying, “It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open one’s mouth and leave no doubt.”

    Not only is she a mayor of a small backwater town with absolutely nothing going for it, it is the home of the most inbred, culturally retarded (they put the “cult” in culture a long, long time ago) university in the U.S.. Why would anyone get upset at the truth and the truth is that the only reason (and the only time) a fan of an SEC school is going to trip to junior college station is to attend a football game played by their school. Nobody gets up in the morning and says, ‘you know what, I want to go to junior college station today’ and nobody not eligible for a 48-hour involuntary commitment vacations in junior college station.

    If the mayor spent one dime of city money or city time on that silly piece of wasted band-width, she should be impeached.

    As someone already said, there are no refunds or returns for the aggies…Slive sold the SEC down the river to force a renogiation of their now-3rd tier teevee contracts and the SEC will pay for years. Thanks for visiting the Big12 garage sale and making a purchase.

    That’s great! Some of you have no sense of humor.

  13. guinsrule says: Jun 2, 2012 1:37 PM

    I can’t wait to see the mayor’s video for when the fans of T-bag U. come to town. Don’t fall asleep on those guys…especially at a fast food joint.

  14. Deb says: Jun 2, 2012 1:43 PM

    @guinsrule …

    Do you work at being an ass or does it come naturally?

  15. thegamecocker says: Jun 2, 2012 2:33 PM

    @deaddonDrysdale & @gainsrule

    Gains: grow up! Leave Deb alone and layoff the NC! We’re all members of the vaunted SEC and “DeadDon” is attacking our conference. Want somebody to attack, go after that fool!

  16. Deb says: Jun 2, 2012 3:49 PM

    @thegamecocker …

    Thank you! He didn’t do anything to me. I just get tired of the T-bag nonsense on every story. This was a cute, good-humored video from the A&M mayor, but people have to make it about the most asinine nonsense. Grow up is right!

  17. brewcrewfan54 says: Jun 2, 2012 6:23 PM

    What has Muschamp done as a head coach to be trash talking to anyone?

  18. coolhorn says: Jun 2, 2012 7:36 PM

    If you’re SEC fan and you get really lucky, somewhere down the road, agricultural will get their panties in a wad over some perceived slight by your conference, and they’ll make a “100 year decision” and jump to C-USA. Collie Station is a wonderful place if your idea of fun is to dance backward and yell an obscenity every two steps…It’s the national song of Texas and it’s called the Cotton-Eyed Joe. While I’m thinking about it, when you’re at a game in their tackle box of a stadium, be careful where you step, or some toy soldier is likely to charge you, sword drawn, in hopes of defending their “sacred ground.” It won’t take you long to figure out why the most popular sign in Collie station says “Austin – 100 Miles.” Y’all have fun now, you heah???

  19. dondrysdale says: Jun 2, 2012 9:00 PM

    deb, you’d have to have a bias or a pretty cr*ppy sense of humor to think that waste of bandwidth was humorous.

    The SEC went shopping at the bargain bin in an effort to force a renegotiation of the teevee contracts without threatening the position of the top schools in sports that matter…and the Big 12 was able to unload the ags. They’re your problem now and the mayor of the quaint little cesspool is showing you why. It won’t get any better.

    Dondrysdale,
    I pray for your tormented, bigoted soul.

    You need some really good therapy.

    Peace,

    Dave

    @Deaddondrysdale

    You’re such an A-Hole

  22. merk55 says: Jun 5, 2012 8:01 AM

    Funny how the short horns from that ‘pubic’ jr college in Austin can’t stay away from what is going on in College Station. To be honest, I am one Aggie that is extremely glad there are lots of grads from Austin every year, that ensures us that a great number of janitors and lawn guys will be entering the workforce every year.

  23. thegamecocker says: Jun 5, 2012 8:30 AM

    @merk55

    Now your comments were just plain rude. BUT FUNNY AS HECK AND TRUE!!! Some of the “Horn” fans are just jealous they did not get an invite to the finest college sports conference in the USA! To the Aggies, you bring great athletics and academics to the SEC. Welcome aboard! Boo Yah!!!
