APWell, that didn’t take long.
Three days after getting hit with a misdemeanor count of leaving the scene of an accident, Missouri quarterback Corbin Berkstresser has been reinstated to the football team, per Terez Paylor of the Kansas City Star. Berkstresser was arrested last month for leaving the scene of an accident and was suspended indefinitely following the incident.
Berkstresser could have faced a class D felony, but the charge was ultimately reduced to a misdemeanor. Because of the reduced charge, the quarterback was able to apply for reinstatement… which apparently took only the weekend to receive approval.
With starting quarterback James Franklin out with a shoulder injury, Berkstresser could be called upon to lead the Tigers in their season-opening game against Southeastern Louisiana.
