Texas lineman Camrhon Hughes hasn’t played a down for the Longhorns, yet his collegiate career is already off to a bad start.
The school announced monday that Hughes, a freshman, has torn the ACL in his right knee and will redshirt the 2012 season. Hughes injured his knee while playing pickup basketball (#smh).
Hughes was a four-star lineman (Rivals.com) from Harker Heights, Texas and was one of the first recruits to verbally commit to the Longhorns last season.
Too bad. After losing Paden Kelly last week. They need all the lineman they can find to get Brown, Bergeron and Gray running again.
Just imagine how bad it would be had Mack not altered his juco policy and Hawkins wasn’t around. Looks like Kennedy Estelle will have have to get going quickly.
Get ready for more news about OL attrition. Looks
Like Greenlea may not be at Texas next year either.
The longhorns will be fine, they were planning on redshirting him anyways.during the spring game he was playing with the third team.thank God hes a freshman sitting out for a yr. Will help him heal.
