To reiterate, we here at CFT dabble in the world of recruiting only from time to time, but seeing as the following nugget involves one of the more highly-touted high school athletes in the country — not to mention it’s late June — we’ll make an exception.
Earlier this month, Sealy high school (TX) receiver Ricky Seals-Jones made a few waves when he announced he was decommitting from Texas. But the surprise wasn’t that Seals-Jones wavered on the Longhorns — decommits happen all the time — it was that the four-star receiver did so just days after attending a UT mini-camp and showed zero signs of dissatisfaction with Mack Brown and company.
Seals-Jones has since opened up his recruitment and recently took a trip to Texas A&M. Speaking to Geoff Ketchum of Orangebloods.com, though, Seals-Jones admitted the possibility of going back to the Longhorns is more favorable than not.

Seals-Jones has already measured in at 6-foot-5, 230 pounds and ran a 4.4 40-yard dash at the aforementioned Texas mini-camp, so it’s easy to see why so many programs would be interested in him. Tough to blame the kid for testing the waters a little longer.

Will he get to play?
Why on earth would any WR want to play for Texas. They are a declining program without a QB in a dying conference. Best he go to SEC to some school like Texas am or Alabama.
De-comet from UT and go to A&M and maybe win 4 games a year your entire college career. That’s smart.

Correction, the BIG12 WAS a dying conference. Their Grant Of Rights has reversed their fortunes, and the addition of TCU and WVU has provided the beleaguered conference a second chance. UT’s and OU’s flirtation with the PAC is over and done with, and they have renewed their commitment to the BIG12.
Wait until the end of July, Clemson and FSU might make it very clear that the BIG12 is far from dead.
Neither WVU or TCU can keep the Bi9 12 alive. Matter of time and down the tubes. OU and Texas cease to be elite teams.
