APIn an attempt to get back to some sense of regularity today, watch lists for the Nagurski Trophy and Outland Trophy were released today.
Below is the entire list of 71 players on the Outland Trophy watch list. Yes, 71. The trophy is given annually to college football’s most outstanding interior lineman. Leading the list is defending winner Barrett Jones from Alabama. Jones will seek to become only the second player to win the Outland in back-to-back years. The only other player to do so? Some guy named Dave Rimington from Nebraska in 1981-82.

Jones is definitely the favorite. He plays the smartest oline in the country, will be a good story as he is trying to win it as a center this year, and will be on a dominant team. the only things that can stop him are injuries and the fact that centers don’t get much hype. his on field play will certainly be deserving.
