UCLA OL had surgery to repair a brain aneurysm

Unfortunately, there’s some rather sobering news to relay this Tuesday morning. ESPN Los Angeles reports that incoming UCLA lineman Lacy Westbrook underwent surgery Thursday to repair a brain aneurysm. Westbrook collapsed while jogging earlier this week.

The good news is that Westbrook is currently in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery.

Rivals.com ranked Westbrook as a four-star recruit for the Bruins’ 2012 class, but the Compton native will greyshirt this season and enroll in 2013.

Obviously, here’s hoping for a speedy recovery.
